Now after BHIM UPI , it’s time for all banks in India to enable all their bank accounts for Internet banking for online payment along with BHIM UPI apps transaction.
The Union ministry of electronics and information technology has conveyed this message to all the Public sector, private sector and other banks along with RBI, NPCI etc that govt wants all bank accounts to be internet-enabled by March 31 after seeing the ‘phenomenal success’ of the Bharat Interface for Money (BHIM) app.

Only 66% of the Total Bank account are enabled for the online payment through BHIM UPI apps. Government wants all citizens have means to access digital payments.
After the launch of BHIM UPI app on December 31st , app has seen at least 17.2 million downloads and amassed a transaction volume of Rs 958 crore with Rs 595 crore coming in the month of February only.

Government also keen on issuing the personalized debit card to all the customer for easy access to money. The 100,000 common service centers are launched to support the campaign.
