Know the steps to open Canara Bank Account Online With Video kYC or VCIP – Public sector Canara bank has provided the online services to open the saving account online with Video KYC. A customer need not to visit the branch to open the saving account with the bank. Earlier DIYA online account opening service has been discontinued by the bank.
Follow the simple step by step process to open the saving account with Video KYC online :

- Choose your language
- Enter your Mobile Number registered with Aadhaar
- OTP will be sent on mobile number
- Similarly verify the email id
- Post verification of OTP successfully, choose the saving account type
- Account Type Selection
- ID VERIFICAION (Aadhaar and Pan Number Verification),
- Provide Personal Details (customer info and Address of the customer)
- Additional Information (Nomination details and Branch selection).
- Once all steps are completed, one has to submit the Pre-VCIP Form (which will be then made available to the Agent during the VCIP session)

How to start Video KYC Online ?
Follow the below steps to initiate the video KYC.
Post Submitting Pre VCIP Form, pre-requisite details for a VCIP session are displayed to the customer/applicants and they are provided with 2 options:
1. “Start”: Instant VCIP Session
2. “Schedule Later”: Schedule VCIP Session for later date and time.
3. On Click Schedule Later: Customer gets a pop-up of a calendar from which they can select the preferred date and time for the VCIP Session.
4. On Clicking Start: Customer would be routed immediately to the VCIP Session’s queue.
5. Before customer enters the waiting queue for the VCIP Session – they have to mandatorily provide Camera (Front and back), Location Permissions.
6. Once all permissions are granted, customer is routed to the waiting queue where system tries to connect the customer with the agent of the selected language preference.
7. If system couldn’t connect customer with an agent of the selected language – they are shown below pop-up message and on Click ‘ok’ -> they are routed to the scheduling page for booking a slot for later date and time.
8.Once Agent is allotted to the customer and gets connected to the customer over 2-way Audio Video VCIP Session, Customer will be then guided by the agent to complete the entire VCIP Session by completing the configured steps at their end.
9. Once a session is established between an agent and a customer: Customer can view the number of steps to be completed for selected Account Type along with step name.
10. Once all configured steps are completed, customer will be displayed final result onto their screen and receives SMS, Email accordingly.
Who are eligible to open Saving account with Video KYC ?
1. Currently bank is allowing customers wherever communication address and permanent address of the customer
are as per address mentioned in the Aadhaar only.
